My O Week Experience

A long time ago in my Welcome post I mentioned a few things about my blog: one, that there would be fun, short daily news (ok…not so much. It turns out my posts have mostly been loooooong) and two, that I would include some flashbacks to my past four years at Brescia.

Today, in keeping with this week’s Orientation Week theme, I have a real flashback for you: an entry in my journal I wrote a couple of days into MY O Week experience at Brescia almost 5 years ago!!! Here it is:

Frosh week: pretty cool.

All girls college: freakin’ sweet.

I am having a good time. Today I rode the bus, rocked a scavenger hunt, and was runner up for Brescia’s homecoming queen. Fun, huh? The girls are really supportive, sweet, and pretty low-key and nice.

I also met lots of people on Students’ Council, and am pumped for that. And opportunities to take charge, do my own thing, and get creative.

The DJ at the beach party was bad. I bowled my worst ever. I played mini-putt with nice girls. I read the school paper. I ate in the cafeteria (so much for homecooked food). I painted my nails at spa night. I listened to Andy (a motivational speaker). I screamed a lot at opening ceremonies. I fell in love with our Chaplain, who I can’t wait to talk to and do retreats with.

Ohh I’m excited. And exhausted. Night.
